Your curiosity. Your data.
You can browse facts and practise chemistry, physics and mathematics without an account. Guest favourites and study progress stay in this browser. Mock exams require a signed-in account with all original practice questions for that Year 12 subject passed. Years 10 and 11 do not have mock exams.
When you create an account
We use Supabase to verify your email or Google sign-in and store your account identifier, email address, nickname and saved fact identifiers. Your account lets you sync favourites and study progress between devices.
Study progress
When you are signed in, lesson completion, practice results and review dates are saved to your account. Written practice responses are self-assessed against the marking points. Practice answer text, sketches and your place in each lesson are saved in this browser, separately for guests and each account. These drafts do not sync between devices; they are not saved to the database. Guest progress stays separate from account progress. Pending account progress stays on this device until it can sync.
Mock exam attempts
Mock exam answers, sketches, self-assessed marks and remaining time are saved in this browser for the signed-in account. They do not sync between devices. Signing out does not erase these drafts; sign in to the same account to resume. Clear this website’s browser data to remove drafts from the device.
Suggestions and feedback
Suggestions are private messages to the creator. When you submit one, we store your message, category, account identifier, display name and submission time in private Supabase storage. The creator can mark it as read or resolved. Messages are not public and no email is sent. They may be retained after account deletion to track reported issues; please do not include sensitive information.
Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies keep you signed in and return you to the page where you started Google sign-in. Local storage holds guest favourites, study progress, practice drafts, mock exam drafts and pending account changes. Importing guest favourites is optional. Guest study progress is not imported into your account.
Your choices
You can remove favourites, change your nickname or delete your account from the account window. Account deletion removes your weirdfacts profile, cloud favourites and synced study progress. It does not delete your Google account or automatically clear this browser’s local data. Use your browser’s site-data settings to remove local favourites, progress, practice drafts and mock exam drafts.
Service providers
Supabase processes account and database requests. Google handles Google sign-in if you choose it. Our email delivery provider sends requested sign-in codes. The hosting and authentication services may retain operational or security logs according to their policies.
